Case Study
Thanks to IBM WebSphere Cast Iron Cloud integration, complex data transition takes less than a month
A Bible-centered youth ministry in the United States pursues its mission to empower Christian leaders worldwide to train children to know, love and serve Jesus Christ. The nonprofit association reaches more than a million youth weekly.
Challenge
As the association engaged in prospecting to religious organizations,it needed a way to track the financial viability of its accounts. This required integration of a cloud-based Salesforce.com application for CRM with JD Edwards financial software. The completed integration solution would orchestrate a complex workflow in which dashboards within the Salesforce.com technology would reflect account information from the JD Edwards Oracle database. In addition, the JD Edwards applications would reflect account and opportunity informationfrom the Salesforce.com solution for order processing and financial reconciliation.
Solution
To address this challenge, the organization implemented IBM WebSphere® Cast Iron® Cloud integration, which provides preconfigured integration solutions for hundreds of leading enterprise and cloud applications, including the Salesforce.com service. WebSphere Cast Iron Cloud integration uses a “configuration, not coding” approach to enable the Salesforce.com application’s customers to complete their migration and integration projects quickly. Just as the “no software experience” of Salesforce.com technology simplified sales automation, the WebSphere Cast Iron Cloud integration “no coding” approach streamlines data migration and application integration to the Salesforce.com solution.
The ministry’s team greatly benefited from the simplified integration inherent in the WebSphere solution. IT staff quickly and easily implemented the complex workflow between Salesforce.com and JD Edwards applications. In fact, the staff completed the entire project, from start to testing and rollout, within one month.
