Business need:
In a continuing effort to deliver industry-leading services to its members, The National Catholic Risk Retention Group wanted to provide its shareholders, directors and staff with a central and secure repository for sharing data and communicating a wide variety of information. The organization also wanted to automate several key forms submitted by its members and their service providers throughout the year.

Solution:
The National Catholic Risk Retention Group teamed with IBM Premier Business Partner Mercury Consulting Corp. to deploy IBM Websphere® Portal Express software. Members access security-rich, role-based documentation and workflow applications developed on the IBM Lotus® Domino® Enterprise Server platform. The portal is integrated with the client’s IBM Lotus Notes® environment, enabling employees to access e-mail and calendar functions from practically anywhere through the portal interface.
