Case Study
Post-n-Track Corporation provides a fully developed, deployed and managed cloud communications platform that enables healthcare entities to connect, communicate and collaborate securely and reliably in real time.
Challenge
Staying competitive in the healthcare sector demands speed and agility. Healthcare IT solution providers must continually drive efficiency for both themselves and their customers in a constantly changing business and regulatory environment. For a small organization like Post-n-Track, which serves a customer base that includes extremely large and complex health plans, a robust, responsive IT infrastructure is essential. But to gain a critical competitive advantage the company sought to enhance its cloud-based collaboration capabilities with greater speed and scalability. At the same time, Post-n-Track had to control and reduce costs for itself and its customers.
Solution
IBM WebSphere® MQ, IBM WebSphere Message Broker and IBM Tivoli® software provide Post-n-Track with a robust and reliable platform for delivering real-time Software as a Service (SaaS)-based connectivity, communication and collaboration solutions to its customers via the cloud. Built using service-oriented architecture (SOA), the IBM platform allows Post-n-Track to provide disparate healthcare entities with the speed and agility they need to comply with current healthcare-sector requirements.
IBM Business Partner Prolifics helped Post-n-Track design and implement a platform for outsourcing administrative, clinical, financial and infrastructure services such as gap in care alerts, International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th Revision (ICD-10) mitigation, compliance with ANSI 5010 standards and real-time cost estimation. The highly scalable framework also provides an ideal platform for Post-n-Track to build new components and service offerings in the future.
Benefits
• Provides a robust, security-rich and more reliable platform for near-real-time connectivity, communication and collaboration
• Allows rapid scalability to support large and increasing numbers of customers and innovations
• Enhances control over development and infrastructure costs
