"The fact that they can focus on their business instead of focusing on the technology helps them to be much more reactive. The travel industry is changing. We are moving from a world of prepackaged offers to a world of dynamic packaging. And our customers are facing a lot of problems trying to keep up with those changes.

We are offering big customers around the world, like Walt Disney for example, in the US and also in France, also customers like Expedia, Pierre & Vacances in France. When someone is building a package on a website, you have to select different options. For example, for the flights, also options for meal plans or the accommodations or like options like golf courses or things like that. And when they select those options, the package is built and the packaged is priced also in real time, and the price is adjusted and recalculated each time there is a change in the shopping cart of the customer.

So we had to come up with a new solution to be able to help them do that dynamic packaging and dynamic pricing capabilities that they want to offer to their customers. In order to offer that real-time dynamic packaging, we need to base our solution on something that is flexible and that can react very easily and very quickly to the market.

Our new solution is based on the ILOG BRMS solution, and we are using as business rules to offer to our customers the ability to manage directly and easily those packages and to offer very, very dynamic packaging to their customers. So we are using the rules to not only package and present offer to the customers but we are also using rules to price those different packages in real time.

Our solution provides our customers the ability to react more quickly to the competition. Customers that usually took months to be able to prepare a new season and to build all their offers for a new season came out and did it in a couple of weeks. I would say that using a BRMS solution in our product helps our customer to in fact be more in charge of changing the rules directly from the end-user, which is the people that manage the business directly,

The fact that they can focus on their business instead of focusing on the technology helps them to be much more reactive. It gives them the ability to focus on other things like creating new offers and coming up on the market with very innovative and new marketing offers for their
customers.
