Tape Manager for z/VM

Overview


	V1.2.0 of Tape Manager for z/VM is the most recent release
	Manages tape resources by organizing tapes into system and private groups called pools
	Monitors tape resources and notifies you when tape resources are running low or tape catalog disk space is nearing capacity
	Protects tape resources through Tape Manager authorization facilities on z/VM or through your existing security manager when running with RMM on z/OS
	Supports the automation of tasks involving tapes through APIs
	Allows sharing of tape devices with other z/VM and non-z/VM systems
	Provides utilities to perform data security erase, tape catalog verification, and ATL content verification
	Supports Standard Label (SL) and Non-Label (NL) tapes
	Optionally allows users to issue Bypass Label Processing (BLP) mount requests
