IBM Security zSecure Admin

Overview

Security zSecure Admin is the next generation layer of security administration for RACF.

It is a user-friendly layer on top of RACF which enables security administration, user management and compliance management on the mainframe by:

• Defining and granting access to users and user groups.
• Setting and resetting user IDs and passwords.

• Displaying all occurrences or a cross-referencing of a user ID or a user group.

• Running daily or monthly reports.
• Testing changes to the RACF database configuration with an offline copy.
• Helping to identify potential problems quickly to minimize the risks of security breaches.
• Enable senior administrators to focus on higher-value tasks.
• Performs RACF database cleanup to remove unused or obsolete authorizations
• Product formerly known as IBM Tivoli zSecure Alert
