Nomination
Special consideration will be given to solutions that result in quantifiable improvements in business performance through the utilization of Rational software tools. Measurements of your success will include the use of multiple IBM Rational software solutions in the deployment of customer applications, a list of references and successful engagements, and list of your certifications. In addition, those IBM Business Partners who have actively engaged, participated and demonstrated opportunity identification and ownership of SMB and new customers through the use of marketing and field activities promoting Rational solutions, participation in Rational sponsored events, and contribution to customer testimonials and references are given particular consideration.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Business Partners must be in good standing and comply with terms of their Agreement. IBM reserves the right to decline to nominate, nor accept any Beacon applications from Business Partners who are not in good standing with their agreements.
- Nominations must be submitted in English language format only.
- Please complete all questions on the nomination form. If an asterisk (*) appears next to a field, the information is required and must be completed in order to submit the nomination.
- Nomination deadline is extended to Monday, May 12, 2008, 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (New York).
- IBM Business Partners must indicate their company's consent to submit the nomination by providing the name and title of an authorized representative from their company. IBM employees nominating an IBM Business Partner must provide the name and title of an authorized representative from the IBM Business Partner company as proof of identity and consent to the nomination.
- At least one customer reference must be completed in its entirety for each nomination. IBM Business Partners nominating themselves must ask their customers to provide the required reference information.
- Please do not forward any information which is considered confidential to you or any third party.
- Please do not send confidential information.

One final piece of advice. Here is the information the judges look for:
- Demo's - Please provide/attach a demo of your solution, if available. If a demo is not available, screenshots and presentations are an alternative. Not required.
- The elegance of the solution, not just a compilation of every product feature, but how those features were utilized to provide an valuable, easy-to-use solution for the end-user.
- The creativity of the solution -- utilizing our software in innovative ways and cutting-edge solution areas.
- Return On Investment statements backed up with figures (amount of money saved or percent improved)
- Productivity statements
- Repeatable solutions
- Concise nominations, no spec sheets or product feature lists
- Solutions that utilize the most current releases of our products
- Good referencable customer references
