Keynotes

Speed Delivery of Increasingly Complex and Connected Products with Continuous Engineering

Monday, June 2 |10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. | Dolphin Hotel – Southern I-III

  • -Keynote Description
Today's products and systems—from medical devices to cars to smart power grid—are becoming more intelligent, instrumented and interconnected. To lead a market, a manufacturer must be able to manage the complexity of designing systems of systems, and also be agile enough to address the constant change occurring within an Internet of Things (IoT). Successful manufacturers must be able to engage in continuous engineering to address the ever increasing pressure to rethink, redesign, reintegrate, and re-innovate—to continuously improve their products and systems.

Join this keynote to learn how IBM is helping companies benefit from continuous engineering. You will hear from industry leaders about how continuous engineering is positively impacting their bottom line. Finally, you will learn how IBM is investing in core continuous engineering capabilities, including:

    — Unlocking Engineering Knowledge – "Turn Insight into Outcomes"
    — Continuous Verification – "Measure twice, cut once"
    — Strategic Reuse – "Don't reinvent the wheel"

Dynamic Cloud: A Growth Engine for Business

Monday, June 2 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Dolphin Hotel – Northern C

  • -Keynote Description
Companies today are choosing cloud to deliver responsive IT, enable "composable" business, and innovate the way people work. These composable businesses can only be realized through a dynamic cloud environment, one able to meet the fast changing demands of the business; able to adapt how and where workloads run to meet new requirements. A Dynamic Cloud leverages the speed and cost benefits of a public cloud; the security and control of a private cloud; and maximizes return on existing IT investments. Join us on the path to a Dynamic Cloud, where DevOps can facilitate an environment in which business leaders, developers and IT managers work more closely to quickly respond to business opportunities. It's all about access, speed, innovation, ease of application movement, and ultimately growth—new revenue streams, new partners to collaborate with, new sources of innovation and new ways to bring these to life.
