Developed for: Enterprise and IT architects; IT managers; system analysts; system programmers; operations managers; database administrators and managers
Technical level: Intermediate
As businesses adopt new technologies such as mobile, big data and cloud, the IBM® zEnterprise® System is often the platform of choice to support these technologies within the framework of the current workloads. That’s because zEnterprise allows management of multiple heterogeneous workloads and it includes both System z® and distributed support on the zEnterprise BladeCenter Extension (zBX) for System p® and System x® blades.
During this complimentary teleconference, we will look at how to monitor, perform discovery and manage an entire zEnterprise ensemble, including the zEnterprise Unified Resource Manager (zManager). We will also discuss the key visibility, control and automation management tools in that environment. This includes zEnterprise application discovery with Tivoli® Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM), end-to-end visibility with OMEGAMON® and Tivoli monitoring, and end-to-end automation with the IBM System Automation family. You will learn how to improve operations and availability of the zEnterprise and zBX environment with new service management enhancements that exploit zManager. We’ll also show you how TADDM, OMEGAMON and System Automation can exploit the new Tivoli zManager support.
Join us after the teleconference for a live question-and-answer session. This teleconference will also be available for replay after the event.
