Pulse 2009: Managing System z
Join us at Pulse 2009 and learn how to build a smarter business by extending the reach of your mainframe across heterogeneous environments
Pulse 2009 is right around the corner and it offers one of the best opportunities of the year to learn about new System z® technology, and problem-solving strategies from the experts. This year focuses on IBM Service Management’s Dynamic Infrastructure, integrating IT and business and strategically deployed through industry solutions, and best practices to improve customer success.
Pulse 2009 is designed around four distinct content streams, with unique tracks under each stream. This year, we’ve added a new track of sessions under IT Optimization for customers who want to build a smarter business by leveraging their mainframe assets.
In the Managing System z track, you’ll learn how companies are working smarter and integrating smart choices into day-to-day operations using new and existing technology and resources. IBM, its customers and Business Partners will showcase inventive uses of System z tools that ensure business continuity through monitoring, automation, workload scheduling, provisioning, storage, security, and other critical Service Management functions.
If you’re an IT manager of strategy, operations, storage, infrastructure or business transformation, an enterprise IT architect, or a systems programmer or administrator, you’ll benefit from in-depth sessions on how to:
- Maximize resource utilization in a virtualized environment of mixed workloads.
- Take advantage of best practices in integrated storage management
- Eliminate operational inefficiencies with end-to-end composite workload management
- Use practical tips and hints on how to isolate and solve common network problems
