Attention:
The Universal Database (DB2) Versions 6 and 7 for UNIX platforms, including the AIX, Linux, Sun Solaris, and HP-UX platforms, have a security vulnerability.

Impact:
This vulnerability enables unauthorized privilege escalation (possibly as high as root). It also enables the execution of arbitrary code.

Solutions:
You need to obtain the appropriate DB2 FixPak and apply it to your system immediately.

Download DB2 Version 6.1 FixPak 10 (the version released after 6 March 2002).
Apply the FixPak to your system.
