Directory Integration and Real-Time Event Handling

Amsterdam - 2 October, 2001 - Metamerge announced that their breakthrough database and directory integration product, Metamerge Integrator™, is now able to process real-time event handling in the IBM SecureWay Directory. Using this capability, companies will be able to use the directory to immediately notify a wide range of devices, applications, databases and directory systems across the corporate network. This enables a high degree of responsiveness based on changes that have occurred in the directory for mission-critical security systems, workflow and other event-based processes.

Metamerge Integrator also enables IBM SecureWay Directory to function as an enterprise metadirectory. To optimize their value, directory-based applications require consistently accurate and reliable directory services. To achieve this, metadirectory solutions are designed to pull information from a heterogenous set of corporate data sources, such as messaging systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and network operating systems using integration tools that recognize multiple data formats and protocols.
