IBM today announced that seven new business partner applications support IBM's SecureWay Directory. SecureWay Directory is an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)-based directory server that provides a common and simple method for centrally storing, locating and managing directory information on an enterprise network across multiple platforms. Because companies maintain an average of 100 unique directories, standards-based simplicity is crucial for those companies transforming from traditional businesses to e-businesses, saving time and money in enterprise management.

IBM SecureWay Directory uses IBM DB2 Universal Database to store data, capable of storing 4 billion entries of information. SecureWay Directory has proven to be highly scaleable for the large enterprise networks, making it easier and faster for customers to access and manage information.
