This edition applies to version 4, release 1.1, of the IBM(R) Directory Server and to all subsequent releases and modifications until otherwise indicated in new editions.
This file contains information pertaining to the IBM Directory Server Version 4.1.1 for Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R) and Windows(R) 2000 operating systems. This file is in English only. This file can also be found by selecting library on the IBM Directory Server Web page located at http://www.software.ibm.com/network/directory.
The IBM Directory Server Version 4.1.1 release applies to the Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems only. This is a performance release only and there is no new functionality. The documentation for the IBM Directory Server Version 4.1 applies to this release as well. There is no new or additional documentation for this release.
Performance items include:
The installation procedure of the 4.1.1 release remains the same as 4.1. However, if you are installing 4.1.1 over 4.1, your configuration information is backed up and restored automatically for you.
All the installation, Server Administration, Directory Management Tool, help panels, and documentation and so forth for 4.1.1 , reflect the version number 4.1 only. You can verify the exact version number by checking the registry value, using the regedit command, for
These values change from 0.0 for 4.1 to 1.0 after the 4.1.1 installation.
