Earlier this year we unveiled the Secure Network Platform, our vision for a secure, cost-effective way to help you become more competitive as an e-business. Our solution, branded under the SecureWay name, enables you to locate resources and connect to them in a secure fashion. Now, through a number of product announcements over the last few months, we're proving that we can deliver that vision to you. Let me summarize the key connect announcements.

Most of your enterprise data and many applications probably reside on a mainframe, but many of your cus-tomers, business partners, and employees "reside" on the Web. You need a secure, fast, flexible, cost-effective way to connect all these people with the enterprise informa-tion they need—while protecting your investment in IT infrastructure. Making that connection is what our SecureWay Host Integration Solution is all about.

I'm very excited about the upgrades we've recently made to the Host Integration Solution—an integrated set of client and server software for accessing, integrating, and publishing host information to any client in any net-work environment. It's a solution that is tailored to meet the needs of unique end users. Renaissance Cruises and the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer are already using the Host Integration Solution to improve information access and customer responsiveness across their enterprises.

I also invite you to take a look at Host On-Demand Version 4, as well as the beta programs for our new Host Publisher and Screen Customizer offerings. In addition to giving you the latest in networking technology, we think these offerings repre-sent the fastest, most flexi-ble Web-to-host solutions for secure e-business.

We have also enhanced SecureWay On-Demand Server so that you can now roll out this Java™-based solution in a multiserver environment. Version 2.0 provides better scalability and makes it possible for you to implement a single, cen-tralized LDAP directory. The new version also provides rich personalization functions, enabling you to tailor data so that all your customers, business partners, and employ-ees have exactly what they need—no more and no less.
