Acting on SNA Resources

Select a resource by highlighting it, then right click on the resource to perform an action on it. Depending on the resource, you can:

Change the View Style - Select:

Icon to view all resources as icons.

Small Icon to view all resources as smaller icons, which is useful when viewing many resources.

Details to view all resources as detail lines. With this view style, you might have to scroll to the right to view all of the detail information.

Display the resources in a Details view - the selected resource will be displayed as detail lines in a separate window. This is useful for viewing a resource with many details.

Create resources - From the popup menu you can create the following SNA resources:

Link

Host LUs

Local LU 6.2 LUs

Partner LU 6.2 LUs

Downstream LUs

DLUR PUs

When you choose to create one of these resources, the appropriate SNA Node Configuration panel will be displayed. Upon completion of the configuration panel, the new resource is added to the servers configuration file and is immediately available.

Modify the selected current resource - The appropriate SNA Node Configuration panel will be displayed. Upon completion of the configuration panel, the new resource is added to the servers configuration file and is immediately available.

Start the selected resource

Stop the selected resource

Stop the selected resource immediately

Delete the selected resource - the resource is removed from active node, but remains in the configuration file.

CNOS Initialize - initializes the mode session limits.

CNOS Change - requests that the session limits of a particular mode be changed.

CNOS Reset - requests that the mode session limits be reset.

To display a resource, select a resource from the Definition Hierarchy on the left side of the Node Operations main screen.
