Configuring LU 0 Primary LUs

An LU 0 primary LU supports communication with LUs on secondary nodes (such as store controllers). This type of LU can support both primary LU 0 sessions with the downstream controller and passthrough sessions between the host and the secondary LU.

To configure an LU 0 primary LU, use one of the following methods:

Motif administration program
Select LU 0 and New LU 0 primary LU from the Services menu on the Node window.

Command-line administration program
Issue the following command:
define_primary_lu0

You can use the advanced dialog to provide additional information about FM, TS, and PS profiles, transmission subsystem protocols, and user data.

LU 0 Primary LU Configuration Parameters

The following parameters are required for LU 0 primary LU configuration:

Profile name
The profile name that identifies the LU 0 primary configuration.

LU name
The name of the local LU that communicates with the secondary system.

Secondary LU address
The local LU address that supports communication with the secondary LU.

Primary line name
