IBM Software Services for WebSphere (ISSW) provides the following services related to CCL.

Quick Start

ISSW consultants can provide a CCL quick start deployment so that you may gain immediate experience with CCL, in only a 5 day on-site engagement. During the quick start, the consultants will install, configure, and deploy a test CCL NCP in your environment. The quick start includes the following activities: installing CCL on an existing Linux for zSeries system, configuring, loading and activating a test NCP gen in CCL, configuring VTAM to connect with CCL, modifying OSA/SF to support CCL and providing skills transfer on the CCL product.

Network assessment

IBM Software Services for WebSphere (ISSW) consultants can provide an on-site network assessment to analyze your specific 37xx network requirements and develop a high-level architecture that does not rely on traditional SNA based technologies. The assessment will evaluate the design options available, develop an architecture based on your specific networking needs, and provide skills transfer on the recommended architecture. At the end of the engagement, a document is provided that includes the design features considered, the design architecture recommended, and the reasons for choosing the solution.

Architecture workshop

ISSW consultants can provide an on-site workshop service offering to design an architecture solution customized to your specific 37xx network requirements that does not rely on traditional SNA based technologies. The workshop will explore the design options available, develop a solution based on your specific networking needs, and provide skills transfer on the potential solutions. At the end of the engagement, a document is provided that includes the design features considered, the design chosen, and the reasons for choosing it along with detailed implementation and migration steps.

Migration services

ISSW consultants have CCL, Communications Server, 37xx, NCP, and Linux skills to provide on-site services to design, install, migrate, and implement solutions to transition customers from a 37xx to a CCL or Enterprise Extender solution architected specifically for your environment. This includes installing CCL and Linux software and configuration of CCL, NCP, and Communication Server products to successfully deploy the architected solution.
