Overview

The General Department of Vietnam Customers, under the Ministry of Finance, was established in 1945 to enforce the effective country management of import and export activities and international trade, while protecting and contributing to the development of the national economy and socioeconomic management.

Business need:
The General Department of Vietnam Customs had never installed an integration gateway to connect to other systems. The current HP's Open View proved to be inefficient in monitoring the agency's applications. The General Department of Vietnam Customs needed a system that can monitor applications effectively to enhance business control while ensuring business continuity and investment value.

Solution:
For the first time in history, The Vietnam General Department of Customs has an integration gateway to securely connect its database with other databases outside the general department's systems. IBM's Tivoli Monitoring for Microsoft Applications technology is used to monitor applications and to replaces HP's current Open View, which has been deployed in Vietnam's customs systems for a few years.
