Lotus Notes Network (LNN)

LNN Overview

What is LNN?
LNN is an entitled service that allows you to route mail in Native Notes format to contacts at IBM, and allows you to replicate certain databases, such as Knowledge Base and discussion databases, from our domain into yours. This is accomplished through the use of connection documents and domain documents in the Domino Directory.

Who is entitled?
This service is available exclusively to Business Partners, Channel Partners and Premium Support customers.

What services does LNN provide to entitled customers?
LNN provides Notes-to-Notes mail routing, Server-to-Server replication of Knowledge Base and Server-to-Server replication of other applicable databases.

How does it work?
By cross-certifying your server with our server, we can allow you to securely route mail and replicate, using the internet to connect us. You will also need to add our server to the "access server field" in your server's server document. If your server is behind a firewall, your firewall team may need to create a conduit on port 1352 through which mail and replication can happen. No other ports need to be opened, since all native Domino traffic uses port 1352.

What is required of Subscribers?
The following requirements must be met for LNN:

What should I expect?
To register, please visit the LNN Registration page. From there you will be asked to provide information about your company name, your environment, and your server. After your entitlement has been verified, you will receive an email requesting that you send in a safe copy of the ID file for the server you will use to access LNN. Once this information has been received and processed, you will be contacted by one of our System Administrators to walk you through the final connection process.

How do I get help?
