IBM Software Services for Lotus

The IBM Web Content Integrator (WCI), available from IBM Software Services for Lotus (ISSL), is a services solution designed to allow content created in third-party content management systems to be published and displayed, secured, personalized and searched within IBM WebSphere Portal.

The WCI solution has the following capabilities:

• Provides a flexible solution for integrating content created in third-party content management systems into WebSphere Portal without the need for extensive portlet customization work or maintenance.
• Versions of content created in third-party CMS tools are generated in RSS feed format, stored in WCM, and then made available for display in WebSphere Portal.
• The content sent to WebSphere Portal maintains its secure, personalizable, and searchable traits.
• Allows content providers to continue using the CMS tool with which they are familiar to author content that can be easily displayed in WebSphere Portal.
