Lotus Expeditor Integrator

IBM® Lotus® Expeditor software assists developers in a variety of integration scenarios: client integration (bringing a wide variety of applications into composite applications for users) and now, with IBM Lotus Expeditor integrator software, a local concentrator and integration hub for transactional messages.

Lotus Expeditor integrator software provides a lightweight integration hub for remote locations – such as retail outlets, bank branches or remote offices. The software enables straightforward business and application integration of the enterprise central office with its branch offices in a reliable, flexible and managed way. And it can even be deployed with limited hardware and software resources and with no IT management at remote locations.

Lotus Expeditor integrator software functions as a local concentrator for transactional messaging at each remote location. The software then provides intelligent routing and filtering of business events and data to the IBM WebSphere® Message Broker software at the central site.

The Integrator software is ideally suited for retail store, bank branch, and other situations where the local concentration of and integration of data is needed. The Integrator software helps enterprises in many integration scenarios:

• Integrating data more quickly from remote offices or to enterprise systems – at near realtime, rather than waiting for batch data transfers.
• Extending the WebSphere transaction processing into satellite locations at low cost.
• Providing a low-cost and near-zero maintenance infrastructure to enable local terminals and equipment to communicate with each other and with the central site.

Lotus Expeditor integrator software is provided as a separately-priced component of Lotus Expeditor software. It is also the lightweight integration framework for the store infrastructure solution of the IBM Retail Integration Framework.
