Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions

IBM® Lotus® Connector for SAP® solutions is an application development tool that provides integration between IBM Lotus Domino® and SAP enterprise resource planning software.

• Facilitates data transfer and real-time access to SAP enterprise applications from a Lotus Domino server.

• Entitles you to leverage one or more Lotus Domino servers to centralize connectivity to SAP applications.

• Enables you to use server-based Lotus application development tools, for example, IBM Lotus Enterprise Integrator® for Domino, to enable SAP solution access without programming.

• Helps reduce training costs by allowing you to integrate SAP solution information and business processes into IBM Lotus Notes® applications or Web-enabled Lotus Domino applications.

• Enables Lotus Notes mail users to receive summaries of SAP application workflow items in their Lotus Notes in-boxes, from which the open work item can be launched with the click of a button.

Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions is a set of two technologies that can be used to integrate Lotus Domino software and SAP enterprise resource planning software.

• Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions facilitates data transfer and access to SAP software from Lotus Domino software.

• Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions enables Lotus Notes mail users to receive summaries of SAP workflow items in their Lotus Notes in-boxes, from which the open work item can be launched with the click of a button.

Lotus Connectors manage connection, log-in, and data translation operations between Lotus Domino and external applications. Connectors provide a comprehensive set of properties and interfaces using a standard application programming interface (API). Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions software enables SAP integration with Lotus Domino software at the SAP RFC, BAPI® or transaction layers.

Several Base Connectors are available with Lotus Domino server:

• IBM Lotus Connector for ODBC with Lotus-branded DataDirect 5.0 driver (supplied) and with Wire Protocol (available via IBM Passport Advantage® for Oracle, Sybase, DB2, SQL Server and Informix®

Additional Connectors are provided with separately acquired licenses. For example, IBM Lotus Connector for Text is available with Lotus Enterprise Integrator software.

All of the above Connectors can be used with Lotus Enterprise Integrator software, Lotus Domino Enterprise Connection Services (a base real-time integration feature of Lotus Domino softweare) and custom code based on Lotus Connector LotusScript® Extension (Lotus Connector LSX).

Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions 1.7.2 software is supported with Lotus Notes 8 software and Lotus Domino 8 software on the following platforms:
