What`s new in IBM Mobile Portal Accelerator
IBM Mobile Portal Accelerator 6.1 software extends the software formerly known as WebSphere Everyplace Mobile Portal Enable. The new release provides new platform support for IBM WebSphere Portal V6.1 software; seamless integration with Lotus Web Content Management (WCM) content author services; new out-of-the-box mobile-enabled portlets, and several multi-channel server enhancements, improving time to value for customers to quickly delivery mobile portal solutions. The new release features include:
- Support to author and render Lotus WCM content to XML Device Independent Markup Extension (XDIME 2) format for multi-channel server rendering to mobile devices
- An updated and enhanced multi-channel server with support for XDIME 2, and new portrait to landscape and rollover image mobile rendering options
- New out-of-the box mobile portlets: XDIME 2 sample Syndicated Feeds and Stock reporting mobile portlets
- New Multi-Channel Server Framework Client creation of XDIME 2 applications, and sample widgets with rich client-side user interfaces that work on vast range of mobile devices
