JumpStarts and NEW! Master Class Sessions
Audience: Developers, system administrators and technologists, IT managers of all levels

Technical in nature, JumpStart sessions are designed to get developers and administrators up and running on the products, techniques and technologies that are the foundation of collaboration and portal solutions. This Sunday-only program will be enhanced this year with the addition of a new series we're calling "Master Class". Whereas JumpStarts will continue to focus on introductory and overview material to help get you ready for the more in-depth technical sessions coming later in the week, Master Class sessions are designed for the practitioners already in the trenches. Those of you developing sophisticated applications that support business processes and departmental/enterprise administration who know your jobs and know your business, but want to kick your skill set up to the next level should take a look at these new sessions. Master Class sessions will provide you with the advanced material you need to become even more confident and expert in your job, whether you're a developer or an administrator.

Sessions will take place on Sunday, January 30th, and are two hours in length.

MONDAY THRU THURSDAY SESSIONS

Track One: Insights and Innovations
Audience: Business leaders of all levels

Laying the foundation for our new Business Leadership Forum designed, this track concentrates on the "hot-off-the-press" insights and innovations, addressing the current marketplace pulse with an IBM perspective. All sessions will focus on the business value, implications and opportunities of new technology, and will draw heavily from across IBM senior leadership and IBM Research teams to offer a perspective hard to assemble anywhere else. Topics will range from the implications of being a social business to setting the right delivery and consumption strategy to embracing business analytics as a strategic tool – all offered from a point of view that applies to business leaders.

Track Two: Technology for Collaboration Solutions
Audience: Developers, system architects, administrators and integrators of all levels

This year, we've combined the Application Development and Infrastructure tracks into a single "mega-track" that focuses on efficiencies for developers and administrators, providing vital content that will allow you to quickly respond to today's challenging business needs.

For developers: Whether it's stand alone applications or solutions that integrate products from across the Lotus and WebSphere Portal software portfolio, you'll see how it's easier than ever to create new applications or update existing applications while at the same time making them attractive and lightening fast. You'll find a broad selection of sessions about application development tools and technologies and after four full days of content, you'll leave with lots of ideas, helpful hints and new skills to make your applications better than ever!

For administrators: You'll dive deep into product architecture, features and capabilities, deployment, as well as system management topics such as administration directories, security, and performance – across the Lotus and WebSphere Portal software portfolio. After your four full days of sessions, you'll leave with tips straight from the architects, developers who wrote the code, product managers, and 'in-the-field' experts.

Both developers and administrators alike will find everything they need to know about enhancing collaboration and portal solutions, and delivering value right here!

Track Three: Best Practices
Audience: Business leaders and IT managers, application developers, system administrators and integrators

The 2011 Best Practices track is where the "rubber meets the road"! Here is where we deliver the ideas and tools you need to get things done! You'll get lots of practical tips, tricks, and quick maneuvers that will help you stretch your IT budget and deliver better business results for your organization. In these sessions, you'll learn from the experience of others and find "nuggets of knowledge" about all the Lotus and WebSphere Portal software technologies that will leave you saying "that idea alone was worth the price of admission!"

Select Best Practices sessions will also be included in the Business Leadership Forum. As a business leader, we want to spark your imagination by sharing examples of collaboration and portal solutions in use today -- from the best minds in the 'Collaboration and Portal' community.

NEW! Track Four: Business Solutions
Audience: Business leaders

Your view finder is squarely focused on the acronyms ROI and TCO, rather than AJAX, RAD and XSP. Your world is all about performance, driving revenue up and increasing brand loyalty, about improving customer satisfaction and reducing costs, about providing the most effective solutions to support your business imperatives. Your thinking is about capitalizing on new ways of doing business, new ways of working, each changing and evolving faster then we ever imagined possible. With laser-like focus on increasing productivity, creating the optimal collaboration environment and delivering solutions to help maximize your entire organization's potential, sessions in this track are designed for you.

Business Solutions sits at the heart of our new Business Leadership Forum. Business leaders are concerned about the realm of possibilities rather than "how-to-build and deploy" applications. You want to see the solution, not the code behind it. Topics will cover a broad range of subjects – from social computing software, exceptional web experiences to cloud-based delivery models. Led by field-based experts from around the globe who partner with customers every day, these sessions provide a first-hand opportunity to hear about challenges – about successes - and to learn from others.

Many sessions in this track will correspond to a customer session from the Customer Case Studies track, enabling you to hear directly and candidly from your marketplace colleagues.

NEW! Track Five: Customer Case Studies
Audience: Business leaders and IT managers

Are you an IBM customer who has implemented collaboration and portal solutions and demonstrated measurable business value for your organization? Have you discovered new methods to help cut costs or strengthen your infrastructure? Are you willing to tell your story? You are invited to take the stage at Lotusphere 2011. These sessions will feature leading companies, large and small, from a variety of industries and will detail how each is utilizing IBM collaboration and portal solutions to drive business results and empower people. They'll showcase how customers have used Lotus and WebSphere Portal software technologies to enhance collaboration and improve business processes within and outside of their enterprise. Direct and candid, these sessions outline both successes and challenges—across a range of solutions.

The Lotus Evangelists: Customer "Panel"
Audience: Any and all Lotusphere attendees

You know that IBM collaboration technologies are the best value for the dollar — but how do you convince your organization of this? Come see how your peers in the industry have successfully internally "sold" these technologies into their organizations. We're bringing back the popular format - Lotus customers representing various organizations from around the world will share with you how they've proven to their management why a foundation of IBM Lotus software technologies is the most cost-effective solution for their organizations. They'll briefly tell their stories in a fun and lively session, and then you will be invited to gather and meet with these individuals for casual conversation and refreshments following their presentation. This is a "do not miss" session!
