Trilog Unveils ProjExec 4.1 for IBM Lotus Quickr 8.1.1
Named Winner 2009 Lotus Award Best Total Lotus Software Solution
Offers Robust Project Management Alternative to Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint
LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 19, 2009 - Trilog Group, Inc., a leading provider of project management and collaboration for IBM platforms, today announced the general availability of ProjExec 4.1. IBM Lotus Quickr 8.1.1 heads the list of IBM Lotus collaborative technologies supported by this latest release. ProjExec, winner of the 2009 Lotus Award for Best TOTAL Lotus Software Solution, is being highlighted at Lotusphere 2009 in Orlando, Florida at pedestals 517 and 518 in the Product Showcase exhibition hall.
The extensive project management toolset in ProjExec 4.1 combines with team collaboration and content sharing in Lotus Quickr 8.1.1 to take collaborative project management to an entirely new level. With full integration and two-way synchronization with Microsoft Project plus powerful scheduling features such as interactive Gantt charts and cross-project resource allocation, ProjExec and Lotus Quickr provide an affordable alternative to MS Project Server and SharePoint Services. ProjExec allows project teams to collaborate instantly on imported project plans without requiring every team member to have additional costly project management software on the desktop.
"ProjExec is the first project management software of its kind to augment Lotus Quickr with the functional equivalent of Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint Services at a fraction of the cost," said Francois Guerin, managing director of H-Urban Faciliware, Trilog's premier partner in France. "Our customers are choosing Trilog's ProjExec running on Lotus Quickr in place of upgrading MS Project licenses to cut costs and acquire superior project collaboration features at the same time."
Lotus Notes customers benefit from ProjExec's seamless integration with Lotus Notes calendaring and scheduling and users of Notes 8.0.1 can access important project data directly from Lotus Notes using ProjExec side panel widgets such as My Tasks, Project Progress and Alerts. ProjExec leverages Lotus Quickr connectors with MS Office and Lotus Notes to create an intuitive user experience that encourages project participation, content sharing and project collaboration.
Streamlined Project Execution Equal Cost Savings
Built to run and integrate with all IBM Lotus collaborative technologies, the benefits experienced with ProjExec include:
- Visibility, Transparency and Streamlined Execution - Automatic rescheduling to keep plans up to date, anticipating issues with early alerts and centralized access to every project detail so project managers can anticipate delays and take corrective actions promptly.
- Complete Project Life Cycle Management - Advanced workflow to streamline all processes from time management to issue management to change management; accelerate issue resolution and task execution.
- Project Intelligence and Key Project Metrics - Customized ad hoc reporting in a variety of popular formats (Excel, PDF, etc.); portfolio progress and tracking for decision makers.
- Ease of Use - Seamlessly integrated with IBM Lotus Notes, IBM Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus Connections for a single access point to streamline commitments and work, real-time presence awareness, instant messaging and web conferencing that enables project teams to collaborate and work faster while executing projects.
"ProjExec seamlessly adds advanced project management capabilities to the IBM Lotus collaborative platform, allowing teams to better collaborate on project schedules," said Alex Homsi, President and CEO, Trilog Group. "The net result is an innovative project management solution that is helping customers of all industries and sizes significantly lower costs and risks by accelerating project execution in unprecedented ways."
Trilog Group is also taking full advantage of the entire portfolio of IBM WebSphere Portal and Lotus team collaboration technologies as well as IBM's emerging SaaS initiatives. ProjExec Online, Trilog's SaaS offering, is scheduled to integrate with IBM LotusLive later this year to deliver one of the most powerful and affordable SaaS solutions for cross-enterprise project collaboration.
