FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Integrating IBM Lotus Symphony into your knowledge management

LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 19, 2009 - With the new release of PAVONE KnowledgeGateway in the first quarter 2009, PAVONE continues its path of innovation enabling people to directly transfer documents from within IBM Lotus Symphony to the desired IBM Lotus Notes target applications.

With its initial release in 1999, PAVONE KnowledgeGateway® celebrates its 10th birthday at Lotusphere 2009. Throughout this long history, it has constantly been optimized to maximize users' efficiency. Inconvenient copying and pasting are no longer necessary. PAVONE KnowledgeGateway® can be configured for use as a wizard-driven interface or by drag and drop. It also learns from recent transfers and suggests an appropriate database or target context. Thus, users can transfer e-mails with a single click.

Besides e-mails, it also helps to transfer files from the operating system level, as well as from OpenOffice.Org and Microsoft Office. PAVONE KnowledgeGateway® can be centrally managed to provide end-users with their specific working environment and set of target databases. It also offers multiple functional scopes, so that advanced features can be hidden from entry-level users. With the advanced API you can utilize the application as a central knowledge gateway inside your own application landscape.

PAVONE KnowledgeGateway® is a central component in an enterprise knowledge management strategy. It helps users to efficiently transfer incoming e-mails from their e-mail application to an appropriate shared business context, such as a customer relationship management application or a project management environment. That way, mission critical information will no longer be buried in personal e-mail files. E-mails are stored centrally, so that every involved person can access the information and gain knowledge about customer situations and project statuses.
