January 19, 2009 - iscoord ag, developer of award winning and integrated softphone technology is-phone, will premiere its new version 8.1 for the first time in a showcase at Lotusphere 2009 in Orlando, booth #827. Highlights include Mac and Linux versions, tighter integration into IBM unified communications solutions and support of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Internet Explorer via a toolbar, all in addition to IBM Lotus Notes, IBM Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus Symphony support (version 8.0).
iscoord efficiently combines Lotus Notes and Lotus Sametime infrastructure with IP Telephony Systems. With no any additional hardware need, is-phone increases productivity by turning every desktop into an integrated and fully featured phone/video workplace, including both audio and video conference calls.
is-phone is PBX independent and fully client based, officially certified for compatibility by 3Com, Avaya, Nortel or Siemens and tested with SIP based environments from Asterisk, Alcatel, Cisco and others. Clients are not limited to one system and can easily change their back-end infrastructure without any additional investments into new desktop communication soft- or hardware. With a significantly lower investment than for any hard-phone or alternative server-based softphone solution, the return on investment is a matter of months. is-phone delivers a no risk, high return alternative, even without accounting for increased efficiency from a unified communications use.
