FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GFI "d-works" international launch at Lotusphere 2009

LOTUSPHERE, ORLANDO, FL. January 19, 2009 - GFI Belgium, the IBM Lotus competence centre of the international group "GFI Informatique" launches its newest product "d-works" internationally at Lotusphere 2009. d-works is an IBM Lotus Domino based Enterprise 2.0 collaborative platform for small and medium sized businesses.

d-works is the result of intensive research and design at GFI Belgium. The product unites the newest Web 2.0 developments with traditional business applications such as e-mail, agenda, documents, website, etc. d-works enables simple and interactive information exchange between employees, customers, and partners thus truly unleashing the power of community.

Companies create added-value through Enterprise 2.0
The reason for d-works lies in GFI's vision that social network environments like wiki's, blogs, web video, RSS -all quite familiar for private use for some time now- can add definite value to corporate environments. Facebook, Gtalk, Messenger, Blogger, MySpace and other on-line diaries and chat services make people's life easier. Professional businesses will profit from the same Enterprise 2.0 applications by using d-works and will be able to improve the integration of their existing information channels.

Tom Herbots, solutions & practices manager at GFI says: "GFI's core activities are focused on Web 2.0 applications such as virtual team-rooms and chat environments. We decided to use these modern applications in a business context, starting with GFI itself. d-works improves communication between our collaborators. Every employee creates his or her own profile, helps colleagues with questions regarding certain projects, and finds all corporate procedures and information about projects very fast. In short, over the last few months, d-works has proven to be very efficient."

d-works, an instant collaborative intranet
With d-works, GFI targets small and medium enterprises, or divisions of large enterprises that need a personalized and affordable Enterprise 2.0 intranet. d-works is easy to install, and requires a minimum of administration. Training is even completely superfluous thanks to the intuitive nature of the product.

"A customer can set-up an instant collaborative network in less than 30 minutes without extra IT investments, contrary to competitive products. The idea is that we interactively sound out what new features customers would like to include in the product, making d-works a continuous evolution. In this way, customers can have an instant collaborative intranet that does what it needs to do for a very reasonable price", clarifies Herbots.

d-works launched internationally @ Lotusphere 2009
GFI has chosen Lotusphere 2009 to launch d-works on an international level. This leading industry conference on IBM Lotus software is the ideal place to market a "power of community" Enterprise 2.0 platform on a global scale. Together with our viral marketing campaign (http://movie.d-works.eu), GFI will be present at the Lotusphere exhibit floor where Lotusphere visitors can get their free version of d-works. This version can be delivered with a personalized and customized 'skin' so that people can install, use, and evaluate d-works immediately in their own company environment, using their own look & feel... For more information, please visit booth #531 at the Lotusphere 2009 exhibit hall.
