Integrated support for Web services, enabling SOAP requests to flow over the reliable WebSphere MQ backbone to integrate J2EE™, CICS™ and .NET™ applications
Full support for the de facto standard API (MQI) and the Java-based standard API (Java Message Service (JMS) V1.1)
New enhanced Eclipse-based tooling, enabling you to remotely administer and configure your entire WebSphere MQ network including z/OS deployments
Integrated support for publish and subscribe messaging, simplifying configuration of flexible message distributions
Supports industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security and offers an Extended Security Edition for advanced security features
Provides an effective and simple first step towards reliable, secure and auditable File Transfer over WebSphere MQ in place of common FTP

Limitations
WebSphere MQ V6.0 includes a new Eclipse-based configuration tool. Whilst this tool will enable you to remotely configure your entire WebSphere MQ V6.0 network, it will not enable you to configure WebSphere MQ for z/OS V5.3, or earlier, deployments. Other WebSphere MQ V5.3 deployments on non-z/OS platforms can be configured with this new tooling.
