Technical detail
IBM® WebSphere® DataPower XML Accelerator XA35 is a 1U (1.75" thick) rack-mountable network device powered by unique, purpose-built technology to do the following:
Simplifies, accelerates, and helps secure Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Provides a true network device capable of off-loading overtaxed servers by processing XML, XSD, XPath, and XSLT at wirespeed.
Accelerates XML/XSLT processing, increasing throughput and decreasing latency.
Combines the XML processing power of multiple servers in a single network device, off-loading heavy lifting from general purpose servers.
Reduces the cost and complexity that comes with over-provisioned systems so they don't fall victim to traffic spikes and application demand.
Supports innovative XML processing features such as XML pipeline processing to enable the most complex enterprise applications.
Shares standardized capacity across a number of applications, helping rationalize application infrastructure with a single, standards-compliant, shared XML processing infrastructure.
Offers business enhancing functionality without the pain-staking process of hand-optimizing code or dumbing down applications to bypass performance constraints, easing application development and condensing pilot-to-project times.
Provides a drop-in, self-learning network device that dynamically adopts XML and XSLT, reducing the need for code changes or changes to the network, servers, or applications to help streamline application deployment.
Helps lower the overall cost of ownership so that developers focus on the applications, not the infrastructure.
Offers more reliability with no hard-disks or other failure-prone components.
Supports integrated device failover and scalability for surges in user traffic.
