IMS 10 Update
This session will provide an update on IMS 10 and the new items that are delivered through the service
stream. This includes databases Web services and DLI Model Utility support, synchronous callout for
invoking external applications, connectivity enhancements, IMS Connect API and DRD utilities. This session
will also discuss the just announced IMS Enterprise Suite, a no-charge collection of IMS components which
extend IMS connectivity, usability and access.

IMS 11 Overview
IBM continues its investment in IMS with version 11, providing leadership in performance, reliability, and
security to help you keep pace with the evolving IT industry. Three key areas are addressed in this release
to help lower you IT costs: business flexibility, simplified administration and growth enablement. IMS
11 provides an integrated distributed database access solution, improves connectivity and ease of use,
increases system availability and offers an architectural road map that supports future growth. This session
takes a high-level view of the various new features that enable these benefits. Key features include open
distributed IMS databases access support with enhanced connectivity for SOA, enhanced commands and
user exits that simplify installation and system management, and Fast Path 64-bit buffer management.
