Keeping Healthcare Innovative Featuring Doug Johnson, Director of Innovation
“What we are really looking at is what are those untapped opportunities in healthcare that we can provide the real unmet needs of customers in different ways.” – Doug Johnson, Director of Innovation
BPM Optimizes Patient Care at Presbyterian Healthcare Services Innovation is about people and processes. Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS), a not-for-profit healthcare system in New Mexico, wanted to analyze and optimize patient care process by leveraging managerial expertise through collaboration. So, when opening the new Presbyterian Rust Medical Center, PHS designed their processes from the ground up using IBM Blueworks Live.
Blueworks Live enables users to collaborate from their current work locations to design and implement process flows without reliance on information technology (IT), and also facilitates stakeholders review on an ongoing basis.
The result: a better functioning hospital because of the Blueworks Live ability to discover untapped opportunities and to capture “priceless knowledge” for patient care delivery.
