ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
___________________
CRUISE MRC support (introduced by PQ36341) could cause a system
outage by depleting SWBs. Also, PQ23489 (CRUISE) included code
for the REPLACE parameter and REPAIR function which are not sup-
ported.
COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
1. PQ36341 added multiple reference check (MRC) support to
CRUISE. While writing the MRC data to tape during capture,
CRUISE does not check system resources. Therefore, CRUISE
may deplete the system's SWBs. Without SWBs a system outage
can occur.
2. PQ23489 introduced CRUISE. CRUISE code contains references
to the REPLACE parameter and REPAIR function. This parameter
and function are not supported.
SOLUTION
________
1. Segment UFHM00 has been updated to check system resources
while writing the MRC data during capture. CRUISE should no
longer deplete SWBs while writing MRC data.
2. Updated segments UFHA09, UFHA14 and UFHAG2 to remove refer-
ences to the REPLACE parameter and REPAIR function.
