ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
___________________
CRUISE,  provided  with APAR PQ23489, allows REF IDs that do not
have a database definition (DBDEF) to be added to the  parameter
table and processed without issuing a warning or error message.
 
COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
When  setting  up a parameter table in CRUISE, the reference IDs
(REF IDs) are not checked whether or not the  ID  has  a  DBDEF.
CRUISE   processing  (for  example,  capture)  will  be  started
normally and end without an error message, even if the  REF  IDs
could not be processed.
 
SOLUTION
________
Header  file  c$crudef.h  was  updated to contain two new online
messages, FCRU0006E and FCRU0151W.
 
Segments UFHA09 and UFHAG4 were updated to use a new routine  to
check the file reference IDs when a new "REF" or "WID" parameter
is  added.   If an ID without a corresponding DBDEF is found, an
FCRU0006E online error message will be  generated,  but  the  ID
will  still  be added to the table and processing will continue.
If an ID range is specified instead of a single ID, no  checking
will be performed.
 
Segments UFHB06 and UFHBG1 were updated to check the file refer-
ence  IDs  during CRUISE processing.   If an ID without a corre-
sponding DBDEF is found, an FCRU0151W online error message  will
be generated, and processing will continue with the next ID.  If
an ID range is found, no checking will be performed.
