MQSeries for TPF

- "Understanding TPF MQSeries Support" chapter from TPF V4R1 Application Programming
TPF joins IBM's Application and Integration Middleware (CICS, IMS, MQSeries, TXSeries, WebSphere) in the world of e-business enablement.
Distributed e-business applications share TPF data with transactional integrity. TPF brings an ability to process extraordinarily high volumes of e-business traffic and transactions.
IBM's Application and Integration Middleware brings access to TPF applications and data from remote or distributed systems and provides the middleware to create decision enabling applications that can access TPF applications and data. This is done through support of the MQSeries client and local queue manager.
With MQSeries client, TPF applications can interact with MQSeries applications on several different platforms by using a messaging and queuing model for communication services. The MQSeries client gives TPF applications access to the standard message queue interface (MQI), supported by other MQSeries product offerings.
With TPF MQSeries local queue manager support, TPF applications can interact with the local queue manager or with the remote queue manager server.
MQSeries on TPF also supports TCP/IP communications so that a TPF 4.1 system can connect to MQSeries server platforms that do not support the Systems Network Architecture (SNA) protocol.
