SOLUTION: Provide the decNumber library that contains the utilities that are needed to do decimal arithmetic in C programs. A C++ class for the decNumber library, called pDecimal< , >, also is provided in pDecimal.hpp. This class simplifies decimal arithmetic in the C++ environment and provides utilities for working with numbers in the familiar packed decimal format. The source directory contains a tar file (cdec.source.ascii.tar.Z), which has the cdec source code and makefiles. Refer to the README in the source directory for more information about how to unpack this tar file. The maketpf41 tool can be used to execute the cdec.mak makefile to build CDEC40. Alternatively, the cdecllm.mak makefile can be used. The cdecllm.mak file does not require maketpf41.
