ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
___________________
Enhancements  to  TPF  MQSeries Queue Manager support to include
support for the dead letter queue name (DEADQ).
 

COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
When a TPF MQSeries Queue Manager is defined, the Queue  Manager
builds    a    dead   letter   queue   with   a   default   name
"DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE".  This dead letter queue name is not  stored
in  the  Queue  Manager's  profile.    Once the Queue Manager is
defined, the user can not ALTER or DISPLAY the dead letter queue
name.  It is not currently supported.
 
With this enhancement TPF MQseries users can now DEFINE  a  dead
letter  queue  name at the time the Queue Manager is defined and
the dead letter queue name is  stored  in  the  Queue  Manager's
profile.    If  the dead letter queue name is not defined at the
time  the  Queue  Manager   is   defined,   the   default   name
"DEAD.LETTER.QUEUE" is stored in the Queue Manager's profile.
 
The user also has the option to ALTER the dead letter queue name
and DISPLAY the name with the Queue Manager attributes.
 
 

SOLUTION
________
The  DEADQ  option  was  enabled  to allow the user to Define or
Alter the dead letter queue name.  By specifying the  new  DEADQ
parameter on the ZMQSC DEF MQP functional message, a dead letter
queue name is defined and kept in TPF MQSeries profile.
 
ZMQSC  DISPLAY QMGR will now include in the profile display, the
dead letter queue name.   The dead  letter  queue  name  can  be
altered  by  specifying the new DEADQ parameter on ZMQSC ALT MQP
functional message and the changed dead  letter  queue  name  is
stored in the profile.
