ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
___________________
Provide  a  functional message to manually delete TPF locks that
reside on the Coupling Facility.


COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
___________________
Although locks residing on MPLF control units  can  be  manually
deleted,  similar  functionality was not provided for locks that
reside on the Coupling Facility as part of the original Coupling
Facility locking support APAR, PJ26707.


SOLUTION
________
The ZDLCK DELETE functional message has been created to manually
delete locks that reside on the Coupling Facility. Additionally,
the ZRHLD DELETE functional message has been  updated  to  allow
users  to  manually  delete  locks,  with  no restriction on the
external lock facility upon which they reside.

Note that only a processor already holding a lock  that  resides
on  the  Coupling  Facility  is  allowed to delete that lock. In
addition, only a processor that has issued a lock request and is
waiting for the lock to be granted by the Coupling Facility  can
withdraw the lock request.
