This theme centres on two new capabilities – the new Atom feed support with RESTful interfaces and business events. This capability enables you to build dynamic ‘new age’ applications such as mashups, allowing them to exploit other new technologies much more easily for business advantage. CICS can be a prolific product of events. While these seemingly unrelated events are not necessarily interesting as single, discrete events, in combination with other events within a context, they are extremely telling.
