The CICS Transaction Server V2.0 Feature Pack for Dynamic Scripting helps clients to exploit business opportunities and rapidly create and deploy situational applications based on the popular PHP scripting language. Using PHP you can extend CICS assets, while complying with key IT guidelines for manageability, scalability, and security.
PHP applications run inside the CICS web container embedded within CICS TS V5.1. The Feature Pack enables PHP scripts to run alongside JSPs and Servlets, allowing you to build mixed-language applications ideally suited to web and mobile service enablement projects. PHP components can exploit the OSGi framework to incorporate existing CICS programs and resources via the Java class library (JCICS) API.
