- CICS Explorer V1.1.1 has been restructured to separate the CICS-specific perspectives and capabilities from the connectivity infrastructure and z/OS platform views to create a new, reusable component known as IBM Explorer for z/OS V1.1 (z/OS Explorer).

- Java Web Start (JWS) technology can now be used to deploy the CICS Explorer executable from a network connection, removing the need for individual users to update their CICS Explorer, and facilitating large-scale deployment to hundreds or thousands of users.
