I spent a short lifetime writing CICS General Information manuals and Release Guides and then the first edition of the CICS Application Programming Primer with my good friend Carol Shanesy.
What were you doing around 8th July 1969?
Watching the moon landing on a beach in the south of France and getting eaten by insect life prior to becoming an aeronautical engineer.
Fondest CICS related memory
Trying out the draft CICS Primer (successfully) on customers in Dallas and Tampa during July 1984 and seeing it published to considerable (and lasting) acclaim. Writing the first two editions of a light-hearted Chronicle of CICS.
