| TXSeries V4.3 was announced as part of WebSphere Application Server Enterprise Edition V3.0, with availability in US English on August 31, 1999 for AIX and Windows® NT, and October 30 on Sun MicroSystems Solaris™. This was the delivery vehicle for CICS on these platforms. |

| CICS Technical Conference (Transaction and Messaging Conference) in Dallas. Including a party to commemorate 30 years of CICS, featuring a large inflatable mountain to climb, slot car racing, basketball hoops, longest drive of the day, many pool and table football (fusball for our American friends) tables and a bungee slam dunk (you had to be there). I recall Todd Gagle of Computer Associates recording the longest drive. On a different evening MessageQuest hosted an evening with a mechanical ‘buckaroo’ which still had a large kick to it, as Anthony O’Dowd can attest. |
