IBM® DB2® Query Management Facility (QMF™) 10 for z/OS® includes a comprehensive suite of features starting with the base product and extending into new depths for business intelligence and analytics.
QMF Classic Edition
Query, reporting, graphics, procedures, batch processing and more. The Classic Edition is designed to deliver enterprise-wide query and reporting in an efficient and scalable architecture.
Classic objects (queries, forms, procedures) can be stored for repetitive or shared use.
Many new enhancements have been added such as the ability to execute QMF Classic objects from workstation programs and more.
QMF Enterprise Edition — QMF Classic Edition, QMF High-Performance Option (HPO), QMF for workstation, and QMF for WebSphere®
This suite of features offers a systems management and governing/tracking layer with HPO, as well as a modern business intelligence (BI) set of functions that make QMF a viable, enterprise-wide BI solution.
New business intelligence features and functions: OLAP support, QMF-based dashboards and visually rich page-based reports, over 150 new analytical functions.
New metadata layer for simplified and consistent end user navigation of source data.
JDBC support for multiple databases and platforms including access to IMS V11 via its new JDBC feature.
New QMF environments make it simple to deploy the same QMF content across differing regions, automatically routing QMF queries and procedures to differing DB2 subsystems.
Enhanced Flash and AJAX-based QMF for WebSphere offering provides workstation-like productivity via an ordinary web browser.
The Eclipse-based QMF for Workstation is supported as a rich, cross-platform application available on Microsoft® Windows®, Linux®, and the Mac.
