


The Software Value Incentive (SVI) can provide your business with greater flexibility, enhanced profitability, increased ROI and greater simplification.
SVI simplifies and streamlines multiple programs and is designed to reward you for the role you play and the value your business brings throughout the sales cycle. SVI provides a greater opportunity to grow your business and earn greater rewards with complete solutions that include IBM hardware and services as well as software.
Value Advantage Plus participants can earn additional rebates on eligible Information Management products. The actual discount you receive from your Distributor is determined solely by the Distributor and not IBM.
To qualify:
- IBM receives the order from your preferred Distributor on/after July 1, 2005.
- Approved solution sale consists of one or more Information Management products.
- Your value-add is 20% of sale to end user.
Incentive eligibility:
- Approved for Value Advantage Plus Initiative and have an IBM-approved Information Management Value Advantage Plus Solution.
- Incentive applies only to new licenses of software products sold through Passport Advantage Express or Passport Advantage. Sales of shrink-wrap or maintenance renewals are not eligible.

The IBM Entry ASL Agreement, modeled after previous IBM Informix agreements, is designed for IBM Business Partners who:
- Resell applications to more than one end user. Or
- Embed IBM Information Management (including Informix products), WebSphere, Tivoli or Lotus software in their applications.
The enhanced initiative of this Agreement, called the IBM Earned Discount Contract, is implemented through a direct contract between IBM and the Business Partner. Under this contract, IBM will provide a master copy of each IBM middleware software program, which the Business Partner will copy and integrate with their software application into their solution(s). The Business Partner is not required to make a revenue commitment to qualify for a discounted price for the IBM middleware software. The software discount will increase from a base discount when the Business Partner’s software purchases exceed the next level of sales attainment.
