Content Manager OnDemand for i/OS is high performance middleware that capitalizes on IBM® hardware. With Content Manager OnDemand, your IBM iSeries® or AS/400® becomes an archive server for OS/400® business applications or applications on other host systems.
Content Manager OnDemand for i5/OS Common Server in v5.1, v5.2 and v5.3 includes indexing and searching capabilities associated with the OnDemand client:
The OnDemand client is the full graphical interface used for all OnDemand platforms and is supported in Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows NT® and Windows 2000 environments.
The OnDemand client can also be used with the Web Enablement Kit and PDF indexer features.
The Common Server includes Spool File Archive and AnyStore capabilities.
Versions 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 also support the use of previous versions of Content Manager OnDemand for AS/400. The existing OnDemand Server can be used with Spool File Archive, Object Archive, Record Archive, AnyStore and the V4 Client/Server.
Core functions supported by both the Common Server and the existing OnDemand Server include:
Report and Document capture is fast, handles multiple data types and is quickly put in production using graphically defined templates and automated batch capture.
Searching, Viewing, Printing, Faxing options are varied, easy to use and include support for annotations, logical viewing and host/print fax.
Storage Management is automated, is optimized for cost and retrieval benefits and provides immediate compression results. Security features limit access by document, document section or function. Use the performance, usage and system statistics for system management.
