IBM announces the end of market for older versions of IBM InfoSphere Information Server’s product modules

Products to End of Market

The IBM programs specified in this announcement will be withdrawn from marketing. Orders for these programs will not be accepted after the stated effective date of withdrawal. Normal marketing activities and educational support will not be available unless previous agreement exists between the customer and IBM. Customers with these programs installed or on order will continue to receive program service in accordance with the applicable IBM agreement.

  • IBM WebSphere DataStage version 7.5.0, 7.5x2, 7.5A, 7.5.1, 7.5.1A-OEM, and 7.5.1A
  • IBM WebSphere QualityStage version 7.5.0 and 7.5.1
  • IBM WebSphere MetaStage version 7.5.0, 7.5r2, 7.5r4, 7.5r5, 7.5.1, 7.5.1r1, and 7.5.1r2
  • IBM WebSphere MetaStage Explorer version 7.5.0, 7.5r2, 7.5r4, 7.5r5, 7.5.1, 7.5.1r1, and 7.5.1r2
  • IBM WebSphere ProfileStage version 7.5.0, 7.5r1, and 7.5.1
  • IBM WebSphere ProfileStage Designer version 7.5.0, 7.5r1, and 7.5.1
  • IBM WebSphere Real-time Integration version 7.5.0, 7.5.1, and 7.5.1r1

IBM continues to strengthen its IBM InfoSphere Information Server software platform offering for Linux, UNIX, Windows, IBM z/OS (MVS) and Linux for System z as part of the IBM Information Management portfolio. With the introduction of new versions of these products, the previously available versions listed above will end of market in July 2010.

  • IBM WebSphere QualityStage version 7.5.0 and 7.5.1 are replaced by IBM InfoSphere QualityStage version 8.5
  • IBM WebSphere MetaStage version 7.5.0, 7.5r2, 7.5r4, 7.5r5, 7.5.1, 7.5.1r1, and 7.5.1r2 are replaced by Metadata Server, a core component of InfoSphere Information Server version 8.5
  • IBM WebSphere MetaStage Explorer version 7.5.0, 7.5r2, 7.5r4, 7.5r5, 7.5.1, 7.5.1r1, and 7.5.1r2 are replaced by IBM InfoSphere Metadata Workbench version 8.5
  • IBM WebSphere ProfileStage version 7.5.0, 7.5r1, and 7.5.1 are replaced by IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer version 8.5
  • IBM WebSphere ProfileStage Designer version 7.5.0, 7.5r1, and 7.5.1 are replaced by IBM InfoSphere Information Analyzer Workbench version 8.5
  • IBM WebSphere Real-time Integration version 7.5.0, 7.5.1, and 7.5.1r1 are replaced by IBM InfoSphere Information Services Director version 8.5

Note: Versions 8.x are available for sale, along with being under service and support, and are not impacted by this announcement.
