Overview

InfoSphere Warehouse on System z is part of a comprehensive IBM Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Solution for System z.

It provides a highly scalable, highly resilient, lower cost way to optimize a DB2 for z/OS data warehouse.

Reduces operational complexity by deploying both operational and warehouse data on a single platform - - reducing costs related to data movement; providing data compliance and security
Provides a robust data transformation (ELT) capability - - eliminating the need to export the data to a different environment reducing data latency.
Extends the ability to perform root cause analysis of multidimensional data (OLAP) by extending the size of cubes (>1TB) and the ability to join across cubes.
Dramatically improves query performance - - for a wide range of BI tools including Cognos, QMF, MS Excel and others, with (MDX) query support
