Features and benefits
IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight is an agile, scalable entity resolution and analysis platform for fighting threat and fraud. Its distinguished identity and relationship disambiguation technology combined with innovative, complex event processing helps public sector organizations and commercial enterprises recognize and mitigate the incidence of fraud, threat, and risk. InfoSphere Identity Insight adds to the organization's ability to recognize “Who is Who?”, “Who Knows Who?” and “Who Does What?”
Built on the IBM-proprietary Entity Resolution™ process, InfoSphere Identity Insight features:
Full attribution: InfoSphere Identity Insight accumulates a history as opposed to a snapshot of each individual or company over time. By retaining all relevant record information, the resolution process becomes more accurate because there is more data with which to make comparisons.
Real-time changes: When a record is received, InfoSphere Identity Insight immediately compares it with its database to see if it resolves an existing record, is new and requires the creation of a new record, or requires an unresolve of an existing record, in which case two new virtual consolidations are created automatically.
Sequence neutral: Where traditional methods match against a consolidated record rather than its originating elements, InfoSphere Identity Insight processes input records in such a way as to minimize the dependency on the order that records are received.
Analysis of any attribute: In InfoSphere Identity Insight, every attribute of an entity is indexed, which is not normally the case when using traditional methods. This means that you can quickly and efficiently search the repository by phone number, address, or anything else that distinguishes the records under examination.
Self-healing and self-correcting: InfoSphere Identity Insight perpetually examines and updates any entity in the repository that would be affected based on new observations.
Relationship resolution: InfoSphere Identity Insight compares addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and any other characteristics that can be correlated across multiple individuals. Because it leverages all specified identity attributes, InfoSphere Identity Insight helps resolve relationships with multiple linkage points. Using intelligent data analysis, it prevents overmatching on frequently occurring data values.
Degrees of separation: This feature allows you to extend the recognition of undeclared affinity groups and networks of identities across customers, employees, suppliers, other involved people, and so on, by evaluating relationships. The sensitivity is defined by the user, well beyond a single degree and up to 30 degrees of separation.
Multicultural name analysis: InfoSphere Identity Insight leverages the powerful IBM InfoSphere Global Name Recognition technology, and incorporates multi-cultural information about specific individual and organizational names, such as culture of origin, gender, and order of given name versus surname for optimal entity resolution across the globe.
Recognize digital identities: In today's world, some of the most disturbing criminal activities occur in the digital world. InfoSphere Identity Insight can resolve information from the organization including event records, employee and vendor records, log files, cookies, and IP addresses.
Enterprise discovery: InfoSphere Identity Insight provides insight as new data is ingested for real-time discovery. New observations are reconciled and related to historical data. Context and discovery accumulate incrementally in real-time. Insight is pushed to users; Users do not have to pose smart questions to obtain valuable insight into identities and relationships.
Scalability: InfoSphere Identity Insight has a proven ability to scale to accommodate massive, multi-terabyte production environments, delivering intelligence directly to a point of contact in real time.
